MLB and NCAA football

Here's some articles from back in October. First, an article about the Southern Methodist (SMU) football team getting an award for taking in the Tulane football team after the Tulane campus was hit by Hurricane Katrina last year:

Obligingly, Eckstein took a long, uncomfortable swig and asked friends standing near him for a glass of water. It was that kind of day.
